Hello! I've noticed that I've been increasingly sensitive in the perineum area for the past day, and it actually looks to be somewhat swollen. I plan on seeing my gynecologist but am really anxious about what it could possibly be. I've only had sex with my partner, and the last time we've had sex was like 5 or 6 days ago. We typically do have rough sex, so I was wondering if it could be because of that or another problem. Please help!!!
Yes, it's quite possibly the result of rough sex that has bruised or irritated that part of your body; If you're worried, the Gyn probably won't be able to tell what you have done to bother it, but they will be able to give you some advice.
It's possible that the bruising will be similar to a bicycle seat accident, or a parallel bar slip, or something similar like horseback riding...so they can't conclude without infomation from you on what you've been doing.
That's not to say that you should lie or mis-represent your situation. Afterall, you want to be cured, and to help you, they need all of the facts.
Tell your doctor what you think it might be, and ask for their input. They'll help.
