My girl friend and I would take a few hydro10s around 2-3 a week for a year or so, we then were introduced to oc60s. We would split them up into 4 parts and share them over 2 days, wait a week or so and repeat the oc60s. A year went on with this, neither one of us became addicted or ever had wds. We then took a very long break from play time use of pills for about a year. We then got our own place and started having parties and people would come over who did and sold massive amounts of pills. We started then taking a couple hydro 10s a few times a week, then started sharing op60s ( the styrophome ones ). We then started taking 1 op60 each about once a week. Then 2-3 each a week. Then a op60 each everyday, then started getting into op80s everyday, this continued for about a month ( was on pills the whole month so didnt have a withdraw effect ).

Then the big mistake came along. A friend brought over some of the dreaded Opana 30s. HUGE HUGE upgrade from what we were taking, and it was "fun" so we started taking those everyday, and nodding off like idiots wasting our nights and lives away, this continued for about 6 months. I stopped taking these Opanas for 1 day, and I finally felt these full on straight up withdraws, same as her. We were horrible horrible sick for that one day, def no sleep, so we called our friend up that night and he brought over some more Opanas and we took them to get rid of that horrible sickness. From then on, we only took the pills to not be sick, we were both so dissapointed in ourselves and hated what we had done.. we hated ourselves. We started getting into fights over who would get the big end of the half, or who would go get the pills if we ever had to go pick them up ( usually we would stash or hide 1 from eachother for secret use ) this killed our relationship, so another 2 months later we had to leave eachother. I was devisted, as was she.. our lives fell even more to c**p after we didnt have eachother. I decided my only choice was to move away and suffer through the withdraws, in other words, BE A MAN AND FACE THE FACTS.

Bad idea, when I got to where I was moving, it was a super clean envirorment, not even weed smoking. I was super super sick for almost a week, and people were asking why I was so sick for that long after being totally fine when I first got there ( I had taken 90mgs of Opana before I got on the plane ). I was missurable, so I got on facebook and started pill searching pretty much. Finding random people on the internet close by who did drugs, anyy kind of opiate to make me not sick. So I ended up meeting up with this guy, who gave me these wierd looking pills with a N8 on them, orange hexagons. I thought I got ripped off HARDCORE, turns out they were suboxen. I read alot about them, and was so pill sick I just said screw it, and crushed up half of one and snorted it up.

30mins later my life was forever changed. I felt normal, I felt myself again... I slowly started taking less and less on my own accord, I told the guy who sold them to me, and he said he has as many as I need, and they would be cheaper and cheaper if I bought less and less ( he was helping me, imagine that... random guy off facebook saved my life ). Suboxen will stop all withdraws, and if your mind is strong, you can stop all on your own. Its all about how YOU are, and how YOU want to be in life. I then told my ex about this miracle drug ( she had still been using opiates where she was ). She one day said " baby I need and miss you ". That day she went and got suboxe script, she is my same old baby now. the person I fell in love with.

We are BOTH back to our normal selves, and she ended up moving here with me! we are completely clean and drug free ( cept weed, weeds not a drug ). I now got an amazing job at a web development studio making more money then I could imagin, as she is working at a semi shop making mass amounts of money as well. Suboxen saved everything about who we were, and gave us our lives back.

( I do have one thing to add to the vidoden thing, while on suboxen, I stoped for 24hrs and took 4 vike 5s, and got the same ol vike high as long ago. Guess it just depends on the person? ) I dont advise it, I was having a bad time at that point with a family issue. Only happened once, I then went back to suboxe. You know the rest of the story after :D

If you read this, and your a opiate addict? Get suboxe, and save your self respect and your life.

also want to say, THANK YOU DAVE MORE THEN YOU KNOW...I cant find you now, but I love you and thank you for what you did for me.. I will never find anyone like you again.

thanks for reading, I hope it helps!! -F

I HAVE BEEN ON AND OFF SUBOXNE OR SUBUTEX FOR A FEW YEARS  NOW. FIRST OFF ID LIKE TO SAY IT HAS PROBABLY SAVED MY LIFE. IT NOT ONLY TAKES AWAY CRAVINGS FROM OPIATES BUT MOST ALL OTHER DRUGS AS WELL. IT TAKES AT LEAST 72 HOURS FOR YOUR RECEPTORS TO BEGIN FREEIN UP. AND YOUD HAVE TO TAKE SOMETHING VERY STRONG OR A LOT OF SOMETHING VERY WEAK. THATS THE FACTS JACK. GOOD LUCK TO ALL! ITS AN UPHILL BATTLE FOR LIFE. DONT GET CAUGHT UP IN THE "OH YOURE JUST TRADING ONE DRUG FOR ANOTHER" c**p. IF IT WORKS FOR YOU, ITS BETTER THAN SITTING IN YOUR CAR FOR AN HOUR ON THE VERGE OF SH$32@TTING URSELF WAITING FOR THE DOPE MAN.

I've been on suboxone for about 5 to 6  years now, started off with 8mg 2 times a day. I am currently takeing 2mg once a day, and have been for about 2 years. I can't get off them, and want to so bad. I get SO SICK if i don't take it every morning. I haven't been off them for more than a day in 5 to 6 years now. I think it is destroying my organs. I get sharp pains every where all the time. I feel sick all the time(just not as bad as if i dont take them) I am just sick of depending on them or anything for that matter. I haven't done anything at all except suboxone in the 5 to 6 years i been on them. My doctors have checked everything in my body, and can find nothing wrong with me what so ever. I think its the suboxone though, from takeing it for so long. Anyone have any tricks for kicking them?? Thanks

I don't know who the heck wrote this BS, but try arguing with facts, buddy! Addiction is a disease NO different than leukemia or cancer or anything else, the only difference being is that we unkowingly trigger the disease to flare up. People die every day from the disease of addiction, and calling it a disease IS NOT A CRUTCH for the weak! It is coming to grips with the truth and the first step to getting better. I know, because I was active in my addiction for a good 10 years always telling myself that it wasn't a disease, that I had control over it, that I could stop if I really wanted to. Guess what? I COULDN'T! And anyone with a true addiction is no different. Like I said, the only difference between the disease of addiction and any other disease is that we unkowingly choose to take the first few doses. Once you become dependent, however, I assure you, it is no longer a choice! And I am willing to bet that NO ONE takes the first few doses of Vicodin or hits of heroin or coke with the intention of becoming an addict. Just like no one gets in their car to drive to the supermarket with the intent of getting rear-ended! So keep your close minded, uneducated, offensive comments to yourself! I am SO happy for you that you have so much self control, but until you have past the throws of addiction and have gone through rehab and been clean for a while, you forfeit your right to EVER say that addiction isn't a disease. I have been clean for many years and am now an addiction counselor myself, so your insensitivity and know-it-all attitude really hit a nerve with me. And no, I don't think addiction is a disease because it's how I make my living, I KNOW it's a disease because I lived it and lived through it! Now I just want to help others live through it too! And newsflash, if you've been on suboxone for that long, you're addicted to IT now, so why don't you use your massive amount of self control and just stop, cold turkey. It shouldn't be a big deal, because you're not a weakling, right???

From what you wrote, it sounds as if you are an addict too (vicodin, then heroin, etc...), and I don't mean to fly off the handle. I just don't want your comments to ever deter an addict active in their addiction to postpone treatment because the think all they need is to exercise a little more self control. If addiction could be ended by self-control, there would be no such thing as addiction. I am very happy that you are no longer active in your addiction, but you can not say that all you need to do to stay clean is exercise some self control and common sense, because addiction takes away our ability to do those things. However, I do agree with you that people must be cautious when putting themselves in situations that revolve around alcohol or drugs if you are an addict or on suboxone. Once you have been in recovery for a while, you will have to learn how to cope with being around other people who will occassionally order a drink, etc. But we must be careful not to put ourselves in tempting situations when we are early in recovery, and even after years of sobriety. Addiction, like cancer, can resurface in the form of a relapse, even if you have been clean for 20 years, so we always have to keep one eye on our recovery even when we're partying and having fun! If you are active in your addiction to drugs or alcohol or are even looking to get off suboxone permanently, please do not hesitate to send me a message. I would be happy to reccommend some treatment facilities in your area or let you know how to find your local AA/NA chapters, or just talk with you and give you some advice from my personal experiences. Even if you don't have a lot of time or money, there are some great ways to get help now!

I have been on Suboxone for almost a year now. Tomorrow I am going in for a tonsillectomy. The surgeon will be prescribing me liquid Vicodin. My Suboxone doctor wants m to continue taking the suboxone with the Vicodin. She says it will not make me sick and it will not make the Vicodin ineffective. It will only stop the Vicodin from getting me high. But I would suggest unless you have been prescribed both and your doctor knows your going to be taking it that you not do it.

If you profession is medical shame on you. If you are a prescribing Dr. you should go back to school, or get involved, speak with a more diverse audience, expand your information base. Your post is an example of the ignorance and lack of education of the "suboxone/subutex" advocation proponents from the medical field. Different strokes, for different folks applies here.

I was a legitimate pain management patient dealing with losing the ability to walk. When changes in the political, and medical communities changed against widespread usage of narcotics, many folks were swithched to suboxone/bupes. I never knew anything about suboxone; I'd never heard of it. When my Dr. retired because of the changing climate (he confided to me that twenty percent, 20%, of his practice was pain mgmnt, but he wasn't certified in the field) he referred me to pain mangagement, formerly known as "pill mill". I'm over 65, came from the sixties, seventies, and when asked if I ever used drugs I said yes. Many did in that era. BTW many have done, so since. For me (and many others) if was a rite of passage, brief, and eventually an inconsequential event of youth from my perspective.

The result is I was put on Suboxone. When I finally realized what was happening (my bad I did no research, too much trust in the medical personnel) that I was given a medicine associated w/drug addiction, for pain I protested several months later. The Dr. refused different medicine, and when I asked to be weaned off Suboxone, I was getting no pain relief from 16mg daily he refused. I found another Dr. who got me down to 2 mg. daily (of subutex/buprenorphine), still get little pain relief, and would never suggest Suboxone, for pain. I suggest anyone given this drug, for any reason, consider the situation carefully. I have failed at two attempts to wean completely off this insidious medication, terrible depression associated with withdrawl. Also, for me (remember different strokes, for differnt folks) this medicine can't be taken any time late, i.e. near bedtime. It keeps me awake, and I mean all night, for days at a time. Terrible, inconvenient, and possibly dangerous!

For, pain stick with traditional narcotics, or anything that works. For, drug addiction and stop cravings, suboxone should be considered, but it is not a good pain med, never was, and won't ever be one. But, if your intention is to get off another med, don't stay on suboxone, my opinion. You'll have more trouble getting off suboxone/bupe, than the drug you are trying to detox from.

It has been a money maker, for the manufacturer. They have been ruthless, perhaps immoral, one of the most expensive narco related meds. The producer has also done a good job spreading false propaganda about the medicine. The medical community still, remarkably, remains in the dark about bupes/suboxone, its difficult paws, or long time effects.
