Dear Worried Single Mom, I don't believe you have anything to worry about. Most boys learn about masturbating around his age, even as young as ten years old. A kid wakes up in the morning with an erection and perhaps he is quite large he will probably want to play with it. I don't remember how I learned to masturbate but I was probably 12 and it is just something that feels good. When very young and the boy has an orgasm when masturbating their is no seman or sperm, like a dry orgasm. Masturbating is normal and harmless. If you walk in on him during masturbating you should not get angry but excuse yourself for interrupting and maybe use that time to talk to him.
