Hi, i just wanted to know if there are any girls out there that are having this surgery at my sort of age? I'm 15 and i had it done..i wish i never did. I think we should be informed alot more about things like this in schools or something. I wouldn't want other people to go throug the pain i am still in.

Just registered on this site and saw your post. You must be about 16/17 by now. I have a 16 year old daughter desperate for this op as she is in some discomfort but also feels 'abnormal' and would never change in front of her friends. She has been offered the op on the NHS in the UK, but I am very anxious that this could not be the answer she is looking for and give a lot more problems as she is still so young. If you are still around would love to hear how things are now.

Hi, are you happy with the results?
I'm 16 (17 in october) and had my operation done on tuesday (4 days ago) I am very swollen and it looks ugly :( I'm afraid the swelling will never go away and i will stay like this forever :(
will it eventually loook better? and do you get scars from the stitches? Thanks xx

I'm sorry to hear that, sweetheart you are not on your own! It does get a lot better, i do still have scarring but it does fade. I'm sure your scarring will be completely unnoticable... (my stitches came apart on one side during the healing process). I know how alone it feels to be worrying about things like this so, please... if anything is getting to you about it, talk to me:) we can be there for each other! xx
