For the last two weeks, I have been experiencing a strange pain in my testicles. I didn’t have any trauma to the area or anything similar, so I can’t even imagine what could be causing this discomfort. I am 39 ys old male. Thank you

The cause of testicular pain often depends on your age. In adults, it is usually a bacterial infection of the epididymis, a tube that lies behind the testicle and collects sperm. Although, more often seen in children and teens, testicle torsion may cause pain as well. The pain occurs spontaneously, during exercise or in the morning when you get out of bed. There could also be an indirect cause like pinched nerves in the back, kidney stones or varicose-type veins in the spermatic cord, so I would suggest you saw a doctor and check your discomfort.
