If you can't seem to get rid of it, a VERY effective way of covering it up is this:
Put some green eyeshadow over it (lighter green works better, but make sure it's over it well.) The green cancels out the reddish purpleish color of the hickey. Then take a concealer (liquid is okay but I found that powders work very well) and cover the eyeshadow with it to blend it into your skin color. You might need to put a couple layers on, but it made my VERY distracting deep red/putrple hickey nearly invisible.

So I tried the cold spoon but, that didn't help very well. The lipstick cap has got to be one of the most amazing ways to get rid of a hickey I would have never knew of this technique if I wouldn't have came to this website. After massaging the hickey with a lip gloss cap for about 5-10 min the hickey was gone! I was so amazed!

welll. im sitting here reading these stories about people hickies i got 2 big fat ones on my chest and i hate hickies she pretty much tied me down and gave them to me... there so tacky.. it was my ex who did this to me and i gotta date with a girl so i had to find some way getting them off ASAP... anyways im using ice and my Gillette razor u know one that vibrates and i am using it as my messager and twisting to... well these hickies was dark. they got lighter but dident go away yet.. imma still keep going with these hopefully they go away soon

Hey guys.. just wanted to post my experience. The lipstick cap idea made a noticable difference ( i used lotion to lubricate and protect my skin). First i iced to reduce swelling, then warm compress to get blood flowing, then the lipskick cap. Then i tried the toothbrush idea.. this damaged my skin and brought me right back to square one :-( so i would recommend everything but that idea! good luck to you all!

hey you guys i just got a hickey today and i was so pissed at my lover for it but a chapstick cap does work alittle but if you guys want to cover it wit make up fo to neapolon make up store and get their china doll foundation and corresctor pallete nd camera ready powder as them to show you how to cover it dont be embarressed its their job to show you how to use cuz make up is used for several reason to cover i use it and it works amazing you can barely see it and its light

I have a huge hickey on my neck from yesterday afternoon, and when I say huge I mean it. It looks like...i don't even know! The bite marks arn't helping its appearance. I've tried just about every thing and the only thing it did was take the little purple dots out. It's been a day and it looks brand spankin new! I have to be at church in the morning and I know, I know "just hide it with your hair." One problem...my boyfriend's mother loves playing with my hair while we are waiting on the service to start! I met a married lady at a hotel,well in the heat of the moment,I left a little hickey half the size of a dime on her neck.I brought it to her attention and we pulled out the laptop,went to ***edited by moderator*** web addresses not allowed to search for getting rid of hickeys. I read about the lipgloss lid and the spoon, well I had already did the spoon when I was on here looking, I didn't have a lipgloss lid but I had a Pentel R.S.V.P. pin lid and it works!!!! So i got a huge hickey and i didn't want my boyfriend or my church to find out i had one so i looked up things to do. and i put an ice pack then i uses a chap stick lid and run is a circular motion then but tooth past on it for 10 min and it was gone in about 15 mins. This really does work! :)
