Hallo, I am going thru the same thing. Tongue, lips, eyelids swelling and I also get red wheels on my skin.believe it is some form of angioedem and sometimes stress is the trigger. After 3 years no diagnosis. Also urticaria came last year. Tips of my fingers and palms. Believe something autoimune is booming.Its horible and stresses me a lot.

Emma I know how you feel. My problems started breast implants. they slowly dastroyed my imunity ..thyroid...and than I was just sliding down hill. Understand it was foreign object my body was foghting 16 years. Some girls have imediate reactions. Me too. eyelids, tongue, lips, hives on my body. Just recently had them removed w capsules also and waiting to see if my body will calm down.

I’ve been battling this for over a year. I had giant hives also. I met with an allergist who is also an immunologist. He did a large study on giant hives and found that the majority are caused by an untreated sinus infection. I did the antibiotics 21 days as directed and the hives went away. months later, my tongue started swelling again. The only difference now is that I stopped taking methotrexate for ra and am 10 days out from that. I suspect it’s autoimmune.
