I have had baby with alloimmune thrombocytopenia. I lost her, but I have been looking for someone with this same problem. I am considering trying for another baby. I am also trying to find as much about this condition. I think if this time I am prepared better that I can make it. I would like to hear some parents whose children have alloimmune thrombocytopenia.

My son was born with neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia. He was born in the small town of and there was no one who could work out why his platelet levels were so low.
He has only been tested because my blood group is negative. Eventually we succeed to send his blood to be tested in bigger medical center. We have a very healthy 5 year old, but will not take the risk and have another. If we didn't have this problem we would certainly have had more children. Anyway I understand why parents still try for children having been diagnosed with this, but I am just glad to have one healthy child.
