Has anyone on here been diagnosed? I have gone to the doctor and tests seem normal. It began when I was pregnant, I would get really dizzy and have trouble breathing and my chest felt like someone was sitting on it. Sometimes I would get so cold I would shake and my right hand or feet would hurt really bad. My doctor said it was just my blood pressure dropping and that it was normal in pregnancy. My child is 10 months old and this is happening more frequently. It happens more at night and at least twice a week. I was given an inhaler by my doctor but it hasn't worked. I've had it for over 7 months and believe me, it doesn't help. Not even the emergency inhaler. I don't think its stress related, it occurs when I'm relaxing for the night. I had thyroid tests and they came back fine. I don't know what it could be but the doctors can't find anything. Please let me know if any of you that posted have been diagnosed or if your symptoms still persist. This is scary, I have small kids at home and when it happens I feel like I'm drunk and going to pass out. I'm afraid to drive at night because I see double when it happens. Please help.

I'm a 35 yr old male, with same symptoms, i've been to many doctors and done many blood tests, checked for basically everything...same, as everyone else...all fine...even went for an MRI scan of the brain, to rule that out...all clear...dizzy spells have gotten worse, and it mainly seems to happen during the day, they diagnosed me with anxiety and panic disorder and put me on Xanor, 0.5, but all that seems to do is relax me a hell of a lot, it doesn't take away the dizziness and lightheaded feelings at all....now, i'm on Serc, which is a vertigo and circulation medicine, but that doesn't seem to be working very well either....like many on here, it appears that the only way to get rid of these is to go for a nap for a short while...

Listen everyone. Although it's easy to Google your symptoms and worry yourself silly, the most likely cause of dizziness/headaches/chest tightness is incorrect breathing. This incorrect breathing often stems from anxiety/depression and just stressful life events in general. Just ask yourself and answer honestly - am I worrying about something at the moment? If the answer is 'yes' then the above symptoms are highly likely to be caused by this.
It's really that simple. Search the net for 'deep breathing' exercises and you'll be surprised how easy it is to get some immediate relief. It is very easy for the body to fall into the habit of shallow 'chest' breathing. It's all to do with intake of incorrect Oxygen/CO2 balance. By all means, if symptoms continue, see your doctor, but check this out first.
It helped me no end.

I had all those symptoms last week - light headed, tight chested and shallow breathing/couldn't catch my breath. It turned out to be a virus. The virus had my sinuses all stuffed up which was causing post-nasal drip which is what was causing the shortness of breath. I couldn't breath because of the mucus from the post nasal drip clogging my chest. I also had fluid in my ear which was causing the light-headed feeling and dizziness. I got an inhaler, nasal spray and pills for the dizziness and the nasal spray worked wonders. Feel 150% better now.

I had this at 25, I have Wolfe Parkinson White syndrome, basically an extra electrical pathway in the heart, its congenital, some people need to be on medication for life to keep the heart beat slow, in my case, I don't, but still get the waves and palpitations sometimes.

25 male, I'm in the same boat. I've also been congested on top of the feeling that I cant take a fulfilling breath. When I cough to clear my congestion, I feel like it's not pushing everything out due to the fact that I can't take a huge breath. Also, I get lightheaded when I do cough hard. I haven't been to the doctor yet. It's been making me feel like I'm not getting enough oxygen and that makes me feel weaker and more lethargic. It definitely helps to talk about this, and I will make an appointment after reading some of the things you guys have said.
