I have been diagnosed with TMJ. I have this horrible, horrible pain in jaw. What should I do to help myself? I am sick of painkillers.

Placing moist hot (not to hot, watch out you do not get burned) towels over both sides of the jaw can help. After few minutes, stretch your jaw muscles by opening and closing as wide as you can. This should help releasing the TMJ pain in jaw.
Also gentle massage can help. Place a thumb or forefinger inside the mouth and the other finger outside the mouth, then gently squeeze the muscles between your two fingers… massage it.
Eat enough vitamin C, vitamin E, magnesium, calcium.
