My ENT Specialist has found a heamangioma in the ( third)sublingual tonsil I have 'shaved' every 3 -4 years. This will be my 3rd surgery to reduce the space it takes up in my throat, which is made even more crowded as apparently my larynx or pharynx is higher than it should be. However this Haemangioma has shown up on a cat scan, am to have a MRI tomorrow. have sleep apnoea for years, suffered for years, though not now, from acid reflux. original, regular tonsils removed at about 5 years. 1st surgery to reduce swelling og sublingual tonsil by laser, 2nd 3 years ago by chryrogenics ?? Ice in other words. Bundle of blood vessels have shown up now in the cat scan, contrast dye used in cat scan, haemangioma show up as white spots. Any ideas?? Throat always dry, gulp down drinks to 'stretch' my throat, cold drinks seem to reduce the swelling. have had Radio Active capsules to destroy my thyroid gland, although it is still secreting thyroxine normally, did smke, not heavily, never been a drinker
