Hi there. Just wonder how you are doing now. I am the same as you. Started withdrawal from 75mg last March/17
Went from 75mg to 50 mg to 37mg to 25mg to 18mg to 12mg to 8mg to 4mg to 2mg, and about a week ago I stopped. Such bad symptoms all the way through. My last 2mg was October 25/17, and I am having such a bad time. Just can not understand why I feel this way with such a ting dose. I question whether it is withdrawal or my anxiety.
I have the legs shaking, stomach issues with gas/burping after I eat and the gas causes heart flutters. I just feel like an anxiety mess
A[[resiate your thoughts.

This is scary to hear. I started taking Trazedone a few years ago because I wasn't able to sleep. I have been taking 50mg nightly. After gaining almost 40 pounds over the last few years I decided to research weaning and try it. So here goes 25mg for a while.

Are you still off Trazodone? How are you sleeping? Did u stop cold turkey? Ive been on it a month.

If you wean off it is 10% a month. I was taking 50mg for 7 months and did 25mg one week then cold turkey. It was a crazy ride and still going on 6 weeks out and expect another 2 weeks or more. Experiencing big time muscle weakness and sudden extreme fatigue and now sweats. Lots of brain fog. The falling down and bad hypoglycemia and terrible confusion have gone, at least for now. In the past I have quit a wicked valium addiction cold turkey and was quite sick but only for two weeks not like this stuff! It's been a blur thanks to 1 gr of weed oil a day. It sure helped get through the worst. I quit alprazolam the week before Traz. Duh
It did what it was supposed to but getting off takes perseverance big time.
The good part, if there is a good part, is the nausea I experienced and the lack of appetite and disgust for foods I use to love caused a nice 25lb weight lose. yippy! I was finally able to eat a chicken breast without wanting to spit it out or get so nauseous but never vomited.
Hope the ride is almost over.
I am 67 and been around the block a few time but have never experienced anything like this and never will again!!

If you have been on it a month and quit cold turkey you will experience withdrawal. If you are taking it for sleep, remember that it is an 'anti-depressant' not approved for sleep and it can cause worse sleep and suffer side effects you didn't bargain for.
One lady said she took 50mg night for one month then quit and it took her two months to recover from the effects of withdrawal! It gets worse the longer you take it.

I have been taking 150 mg of trazodone straight for almost 12 or 14 years. I started tapering about 3 months ago. I' m now on 75 or 85 mg daily. Sometimes I feel confused, weak and dizzy., heavy sweats, specially in the face. Also I was taking 30 mg of Temazepam and I went down to 15 mg. I have memory problems and confusion. I have been working out at night and it helps to control my anxiety but it is hard. Some advice please thanx

I was on a high dosage and I mean high of Trazodone for years nightly (over 300 mg)and also along with it took Paxil and Buspirone in the daytime. Went off them in 2013 and 2014 and had horrid symptoms..felt like I was going crazy..and went off them slowly, but just felt like I'd go crazy. I hung in there and eventually most left. DO NOT GO OFF ANY OF THESE DRUGS COLD TURKEY. They are all addictive..something the drs and drug companies don't tell us...bastards they are for this....only thing I can say for the drs perhaps the drug companies don't let drs know they are addictive as some drs I saw said they are not addictive...BIG PHARMA is horrid as all they are out for is money and power..greedy bastards they are...take it very slowly off these drugs and you will be okay. One symptom that has stayed and I don't know if it is from drugs but probably is (along with my anxiety and nervousness I've had all my life) is itching, stinging, burning on my back 24/7. My prayers are with all of you going off these horrid drugs..I did do a lot of praying to the Good Lord Jesus and He helped me through this as He does in everything in life.

I was prescribed tramadol for pain management (have 2 fractures in my pubic bone 5 weeks ago)and didn't want to take these drugs together.
I only took the tramodal for 1 day but got very nauseated so I stopped taking it

I'm sorry Danny but you don't know what you are talking about.

Don't tell someone they won't have withdrawals from Trazodone just because you didn't! I've been on 50 mg for 3 years and can't get off even if I try to slowly wean myself. This is as bad as Paxil was if not worse. It doesn't matter if you take a low dose, you can still have horrific withdrawals. If I had know I would never have touched this c**p.

Hi! I was put on trazadone for insomnia related postpartum. I have only been on it for a month and I was prescribed as needed. I would take most days and then skip a day and that next day would be horrible. How long should my withdrawal effects last?

I'm very new to this forum and I apologize I'm advance.. I'm in the midst of a trazadone withdrawal and pretty reactive but that was sure a good scolding there.
I guess it just isn't what someone needs when they're going thru hell.
Peace
