I am 33weeks pregnant and signed my forms for a tubal but was not explained the proceedures and the after effects or symptoms that come along after the proceedure. I am interested in knowing the basic facts on a tubaligation and not about pregnancy or reversal after a tubal. Could you be of some assistance and if possible, thank you for any assistance provided?

Hi, I'm 33 and had a tubal ligation 4 years ago. Nothing about a ligation was really explained to me, except that you won't have any more kids. Well since the ligation, my periods are a lot heavier with lots of blood clots. Not as much cramping. A lot of pms symptong such as mood swings, water retention, lots of bloating, depression, the works. In fact 2 months ago I had a tubal reversal because I decided that I did in did want another child. Only one tube was able to be reconnected because they cut the other tube too short during the ligation. In my opinion, unless you are 100% sure of not wanting in more kidz, you might should explore other birth control options, because a tubal ligation is lot easier done than undone. You might should do research on the topic before going through surgery.
