I had 9 treatments. My Dr said to come back in 3 months to re-evaluate. I asked if they are now gone. He then says they never go away only shrink down. I was told at the beginning that they would go away. Mine were 1-2 size hemorrhoids in 6 out of 8 quadrants. So now I only guess this shrinks them and doesn't remove them.

I just had my ultroid procedure done 2 hours ago at the Pall Mall medical clinic in Manchester, UK. Prior to the procedure a consultation was made by the surgeon performing this treatment. 3 grade II piles were found. One of them had a tear on it, which is why I was experiencing burning pain and sometimes excruciating pain.
Treatment immediately followed. I would not call it painless (I would say mild but extremely annoying), however the pain that I was feeling was due to the camera that they insert up your anus.
In terms of the actual current, I did not feel any pain (or if i did it was masked by the pain caused by the camera). I was told they used the maximum intensity. (to which they got to by increasing it gradually from low to max). It took about 6 minutes per haemorrhoid, and the surgeon allowed a pause after finishing treating each one. This was great, as I do not think I could have taken having that camera in there for more than that time.
He treated all three haemorrhoids, and I was told they responded well to the treatment. Immediately after i stood up, I felt a bit of relief, however after sitting down in my car, some burning sensations started which were quite annoying but manageable.
I just had a bowel movement, which felt almost painless (extraordinary as every single one i had for 2 weeks hurt quite badly), and I took a bath afterwards of about 45 minutes. Also took 2 ibuprofens, and now I do not feel any pain or discomfort whatsoever.
After reading the NICE research, I noticed that about 15-15% of the piles they treat do return. I had no other side effects so far.
I will do my best to post a follow up, as an update to how things went after 1 and 2 weeks.
So far, I could say that I would definitely recommend this treatment which, although quite uncomfortable for 25-30 minutes, is definitely worth it. I have not felt this good in 2 weeks :)
Good luck !
