I have sore spots with no marks or bruising on several spots on my body. They have been aching and sore to the touch for over a year now. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia back when Dr's didn't think it was a real problem ( early 1990's). Most told me it was in my head. I found the sore spots all correspond with parts of my body that I touch to other things. Like when I use my left arm near the elbow to help push open my car door. I also have sore spots where I lightly touch my calves to the door threshold getting out of my car. They are further aggravated by the poorly cushioned boards on my recliner. Who knew you weren't supposed to use anything but your hands and feet to do things? My Dr told me I am experiencing repeated touch injuries. Unfortunately common for people with fibromyalgia. If you are having sore spots show up for no reason? Pay attention to how you do things, to see if they could be repeated touch injuries. I have had to work on paying attention to what I do, I take a bit more time but I make a point of not touching points on my body to any solid surface that I don't have to. It has helped the soreness some but it is taking a long time to go away. Hope this helps someone. :)

Those are just trigger points and some people have them and others don't, it is genetic, my mom's mom had them. She was fine normally until we jumped on her legs while playing and then she would scream with pain. She wasn't sick with anything else. I have them all over my body especially along muscle fascias, and near joints. You have to press them really hard to break up the toxin buildup, or crystals, some say. I guess some people's bodies are able to get rid of toxins and others' are not. I am not sick with anything and I have had those all my life. I am a female 69. I am quite physically active and eat healthy, sleep 8 hours a night. But since I have had those since young age, nothing is really causing them, it is how my body is. Other people have something else, everybody has something. Massage therapy and acupressure helps a lot, hot baths also.

Your description sounds exactly like how I am. I am a 60 year old female. I never noticed if I had these tender spots when I was younger, but only in the last 10 years or so.
