Oh wow I'm so glad that there are others out there who also get this, I have been thinking that I'm going mad! I have been getting this weird feeling for so long now when the inside of my head just goes at such a fast pace and things seem louder. If I try to continue to read or something it's louder in my head and at such a fast pace it's a horrible and scary feeling and I have this happen a couple of times a week! I'd love to know what it is. I have a severe chronic pain disease which is to do with the nervous system and I thought it was maybe to do with the pain signals being sent to my brain but now that there are others out there who are experiencing this as well I'm not sure now. I'd love to know what it is because it has literally just happened again now before I found this.

I also experience such a feeling occasionaly. I`ve had it all my life, i guess, but I didn`t really pay attention. I`ve just felt it now so I decided to look up what it can be. I guess it usually happens when I`m overworked. When it happens i start feeling very anxious and it usually lasts for a couple of minutes. Thanks for making this topic. It was interesting to learn that I`m not the only one.

I have had these episodes since I was about 5/6. Hadn't had one in years until today, everything feels like its moving so fast :( I hate it! Glad I'm not the only one. And as I'm holding my phone typing this it feels like it weighs a ton. And my thumbs feel heavy too :/ :(

I'm so glad I found this trend! I've been suffering from this fast-motion feeling for years! I'm 18 now and I remember it was first triggered by a dream when I was much younger. It didn't seem like a nightmare at all - it consisted of things happening in a constant loop and gave off the sense of infinity, but for some reason I woke up terrified and anxious and had that fast motion feeling.

My last episode occurred during the math portion of an ACT exam, can you imagine!? It was so unexpected and I sat there fidgeting for at least 5 wasted minutes because all I could focus on was how "fast" my eyes were skimming the questions and how "fast" my pencil was writing. Everything felt magnified and urgent. It was chaos -_-

Such a relief that I'm not alone. Would people recommend seeing a specialist about it?
I'm going through one right now, and during all my exams this year I had them for about 10 minutes at the start :(

This happens to me too, exactly as you described it. I can recal specific moments of when I felt like this. When I was in elemetary I used to feel this but it didn't bother me much. But it's starting to make me uncomfortable. Now I'm in high school (I'm a sophmore) and recently, during my math final, I experienced this. I heard people writing fast and as if the noises were being repeated at a higher speed. This also happed to me when I was 13 while I was taking a scienec test. It doesnt happen offten though, and theres not pattern to it so maybe its linked to stress. I hope that this is normal, not a sign of a mental disease. It's proably not since a lot of people seem to have it.
