I've had a fantastic recovery, where not once have I experienced any pain more than mild discomfort (I'm on Day 6) and I have been able to eat whatever I want from Day 1. I'm aware I'm probably the luckiest person I've read on these forums but I've done all the right things, I've been drinking an enormous amount of fluids and taking my painkillers every 4 hours haven't missed it once.

I'm going in to get my tonsils and adenoids removed plus my sinuses scraped on April 2nd. I'm nervous as hell but know it's necessary for my career (commercial vocalist).

I've read LOTS of horror stories but also encouraging posts like the one above. I think much of recovery will be about my mindset. So I'm preparing myself for the pain ahead of time, reminding myself the end result will be worth the month of discomfort, and making sure when the time comes I'll drink alot of liquid, take my meds, and do everything I can to ensure a quick recovery.

Not having gone thru it myself yet, the best advice I have is to THINK POSITIVE! ((HUGS)) :-)
