If this is only happening with fountain drinks for some of you, I can say from working at a gas station during college...fountain "drinks" come in a box that's essentially syurp flavoring, the box has an opening at the end that gets hooked to a hose, when a cup is filled in a fountain station you press on a lever that helps pump this syrup through the tubes cold carbonated liquid gets added to the syrup flavoring to give you "pop" at the other end, thing is, nobody ever cleans out those tubes. Sure, it could be a chemical ingredient in the plastic tubing itself, or some kind of molecular interaction between the ingredients in the pop mixing with the plastic but since those tubes don't get replaced or cleaned...chances are, it's a build up of bacteria or other one celled nasties making you temporarily sick after consuming them inadvertently along with your fountain drink of choice.
I've heard of the same phenomenon happening with beers on tap, especially at older bars because those tubes aren't cleaned out or replaced ever either.
So...stay away from fountain drinks altogether if you've noticed a correlation. It's like drinking from the excat same cup, everyday all day, for years but since the cup is always filled with fluid - you reasoned to not clean it but that probably sounds very unsanitary to you, as it should; that's what fountain drinks are: forever dirty cups.
