I had the ablation in July of 2011. I have not had a period since the surgery, and it has now been eight months. I do still have cramps, slight bloating, and irritability. I have been more than pleased with the procedure. My OBGYN did explain that if this did not work a hysterectomy may be needed; however, I was happy to go this route first as it is less invasive.
