Vaginal Dry Skin and Cracks

My shower broke down two weeks ago and I was taking baths for about 7 days until my shower was fixed. I was basically sitting in body wash and shampoo for about 15 to 30 minutes everyday. My vaginal skin started to get very dry. About 3 months ago I found out I contracted HPV so since then, I have been very freaked out about STDs and whether I have herpes. I did have a small crack in the skin around the same time I started noticing HPV growths. The doctor cultured for both HSV and HPV and only the HPV came back positive. For the last week my skin has continued to be dry even though I have switched to taking showers again. I am continuously looking down there with a hand mirror and pulling the skin and so forth to see if anything is developing. Yesterday I noticed three cracks in the skin located between my vaginal opening and anus. It's not painful and I can't notice it unless I specifically touch it and it just feels like a mild irritation. Nor is it bleeding. My lymph nodes are not swollen and I'm not experiencing anything else that indicates it's herpes. I know herpes infections can go unnoticed and what I'm experiencing could definitely be a sign that it could be HSV but how likely do you think it's HSV? I have a doctor's appt. scheduled but the suspense is killing me. Please let me know your thoughts. I do not sleep around and have had only two sexual partners for the last 10 years but my current partner may have cheated. The last time we had sex was about a month ago. So if it was HSV my symptoms started developing 3 weeks after my last sexual encounter.
