It sounds like you've been traumatized with your tweezers. Seriously, being waxed down there is really no big deal. I know we all like to think down there is special and it is but being wax is also quite common. The trick is to find someone who you are comfortable with working in that area. I say to my clients to use moisturiser at least a day before waxing. This improves the comfort level and also softens the skin which helps the hair come out by the root instead of breaking. As for inside hair, if there's not to much I would suggest using tweezers, I have shaved in there carefully but the regrowth is annoying. Apart from that I think if you want to wax in there use lots of oil to protect the skin the wax should then only stick to the hair. Hope this helps you ladies out there.

I have read through all the comments, and although this is an old post, I couldn't help but jump in. For many of the people commenting on their struggles with hair growth in different areas that are not "normal", it sounds to me like you may want to get checked for PCOS - it's a simple blood test. You may find your testosterone is running very high which is causing/contributing to your excess hair. I know this because I suffer from hursitism as a result of my PCOS. It is awful! But there are many solutions. I highly suggest doing lots of research on insulin resistance, high testosterone, etc. But I will share a little of what I've learned over the past 10 years from my personal experience. In a nutshell: insulin resistance -- increased testosterone = unwanted male pattern hair growth (read: dark, coarse hair growing everywhere it shouldn't be!). The key to tackling this problem lies in changing your diet, along with stress management and exercise. Cutting out the processed junk that has become so normal these days, cutting out dairy, getting plenty of Omega 3's, drinking spearmint tea, etc. This is the only permanent way to solve these problems. Hope this helps someone out there!! There are a lot of good PCOS resources on the web now, I suggest looking into them.

I have used an epilady on my legs since 1988. It does hurt at first but now I only need to epilate seasonally. I even use the epilady in my bikini line. That does hurt more than your legs at fitst but the pain level diminishes over time. For pubic hair epilady makes an epishaver. It has several length settings so you decide how short you want to go. I have not used a razor on my legs and never on pubic hair.B

I am sorry to disagree, but I have to. I noticed hair there 2 years ago (which was NOT there before) I shaved it and it is way worse. Not only that but waxing or shaving in the labia area can cause infections.

You're not alone in that I also have pubic hair around my vag hole too. It's annoying as hell right! Do you shave/wax yours? Or leave it as it is?

Do you wax the hair on the insides for the labia?

I'm so sorry this is happening to you. I don't have hair anywhere near my vagina but on the inside of my labia I do. Very close to the clitoris

What did your doctor say? I had a condition called lichen planus both on my skin (Down my spine and a few spots on my chest) and it resulted in lichen sclerosis of the vagina/vulvar area. It has been a nightmare. The labia either dissolved or fused. Nothing is the same. I had a new treatment called Mona Lisa, which is laser and am somewhat improved, but still not back to where I go through a day with my private parts being a non-event. I'm older, and have other auto immune issues and type 2 diabetes. All may be related to this hair issue that I as well as all on this site seem to be fighting. I feel like hair is invading my insides!

Why don't you get it laysered? It's permanent..pretty expensive but if you're spending hours a month doing this, plus the irritation, bumps, potential for infection and probable embarrassment..just do it. Call a local spa and ask for they recommend for lays er treatments in your area.

Go to the waxing center. European Waxing center used to be my to go place. The ladies there are very nice and HUMAN so most of them have the same issue. It's not that painful either and it gets better with time. A wax usually last about a month but be sure to buy the serum to prevent ingrowns. Every time you go, book with the same lady so that you build a friendship with her and the embarrassment goes away. I now wax myself which was very easy with so many online tutorials. The raw meat that ur afraid will rip off, WONT! :) Just make sure you do little sections at a time (like a strip that you would use to wax half of the upper lip. I also wax my sideburns and let me tell you... that is the most painful bodypart to wax!! To compare pain: Sideburnstoesbrazilianupper lip and anything after that is a walk in a beach :)
Hope it helps!

My wife has hair inside her vagina that makes me bleed every time we make love! (Think steel wool Brillo pad rubbing on sensitive man skin). I wish there was a solution for internal hair! Condoms do help, but who likes to use condoms unless absolutely necessary?? Has anyone else experienced this problem and found a solution?
