Vaginal Irritation before and several days after my period

I had this issue for years and all befor I became sexually active. After trying everything, I was finally told by a gynacologist that I had a vitamin b deficiency. I started a course and I received instantaneous relief and it never returned I just needed a few vitamin b vitamins to I guess rebalance myself. It's odd that a few vitamins immediately addressed something that I had for years.

The same thing happened to me. I haven't been sexually active in over a year. It all of a sudden it started. Before my period starts it's dry and burns when I pee and the inside lips are red. Nothing helps and I know it's not an std

I thought I was the only one that had this,, Went for tests but there is nothing physically wrong with my results. But I KNOW SOMETHING IS AMISS, like, it's a burning sensation but it don't necessarily burn, it tingles but there's no reason why, absolutely no discharge or odor, flares up the worst before-during-after menstrual cycle(in no particular order) and when it comes at anytime of the month it's not as bad.
If flared up when u have sex it Gets worst after sex. If u have unprotected sex during a flare up, your partners penis will get a burn & a rash from you. There has to be something underlying there and whoever pin points, identifies this and cures it, should get a nobel f**k**g peace prize.

What type of flare ups are you having? Does it itch for you? For me its just burning sensation, not really tingling though...nothing else. Nothing is swollen nor red. IDK how many doctors I should my hoo haa to.

Does anyone know exactly what it is?? Or why it happens?? I get it all the time just before my period and it hurts like hell. I can't have sex and if I do it's feels like sand paper is wrapped around his penis. I even tend to tare and bleed from the injury. Is anyone diabetic? I am, my gynecologist says it's common in older women.she told me it has to do with ur PH levels they change just before and sometimes after ur period. I use Nyastin cream and it is helpful for a while till I start my cycle. Ask ur Doctors if he or she will prescribe u some. After my cycle is done it tends to go away, if not them i treat is as a yest infection or bacteria vaginitis. And that tends to work. Also eat yogurt Greek is the best. This helps with PH levels only u have to eat one every day. I do all that stuff and I still het it every time. Good luck laidies.

I'm so happy to read that its not just me. I also have been tested for everything and seen a specialist and everything and they claim that I'm disease free but certain times of the month (mostly around my period) I'm dry and itchy with a white discharge and sometimes unpleasent smell. I've felt so dirty and embarrassed and afraid to tell anyone. Now that I've read this thread I know I'm not the only one and I feel like a huge weight has been lifted.

I read this thread a couple months ago looking for answers. I'm 24 years old and I had the same issues with the irritated, raw feeling vagina (no other symptoms). Though mine doesn't seem AS bad as some of yalls, I couldn't stand it! It felt the worst when I was removing a tampon it seemed? Anyway, talked to my doctor about it last month and she suggested that I may be using a tampon designed for a heavier flow than I was actually having. I mean, she's probably right, I thought because I always buy super tampons and use them even on my lighter days when I should probably just be using a regular. Pulling the tampon out while it is still mostly dry can cause the entrance to the vagina to be irritated and sensitive. So, since my visit I've been trying to use the appropriate size tampon and I'm pretty sure it's working lol. I felt so dumb when my doctor told me this because it seemed like an amateur mistake but oh well!

I'm a t1 diabetic but I've never had an a1c over 7.5 so I'm not sure if it could be related. But I did have the same thought! Maybe I'll ask my endo about it next month at my appointment!

I have the same issue. A few days before my period, during my period, and after my period, I feel irritated and swollen. No itch in my case and really no other yeast infection symptoms...just the irritation. I try to avoid tampons when I can and I use either extra virgin coconut oil or Lubrigyn moisturizing cream to help soothe the irritation. I think hormonal changes and menstrual related dryness are to blame. It's so frustrating knowing that every month, this problem will come back.

I know this is an old post, but I have the same problem and wanted to post what has fixed it for me. It is called vulvodynia or vastibulitis. Pain, itchy and burning near my period, and the months following childbirth. No discharge or smell. A short term vaginal estrogen solved it for me completely for years. The times I'm sore correlate with a drop in estrogen. The best us an estrogen ring called estring. Another option is Premarin, but that's messy. Good luck!
