I have a friend who took herself off of her Prozac about 8 months ago. She'd been taking it for over 15 yrs. She went through a major emotional upheaval as a result and is now back on it. The past 4 months, a week before her menstral cycle she gets a white discharge and vaginal itch. She's been to her doctor each time in the past 4 months and she's been treated for everything from YI to allergic reaction to soap/perfume. It has returned for the 5th month now. Has anyone had any experience with this? I told her I'd try to help her get to the bottom of this since it seems her doctor is yet to properly diagnose her. Thx.
yesss i'm on prozac now and i feel my clit is always itchy it's so uncomfortable doctor says it's all in my head though so maybe your friend is just thinking way to much about it just like i am i wake up in the mornign thinking about it and go to sleep thinking about it and that causes it to itch even more!
I have been on Prozac for less than a week and my clit is very itchy. It has to be the medication.
I have been on Prozac for a couple months and am experiencing severe clitoral and vaginal itching.
I was on 20mg fluoxetine/Prozac for about 2 years and I had a constant dryness, was quite itchy sometimes and my libido wasn’t half of what it used to be (I usually have a super high sex drive when I’m not on them). A few months ago I came off them myself, and I noticed a difference quickly. Within a week the dryness has gone, it wasn’t itchy and my sex drive was sky high again. Everything stayed like that whilst I was off them. I went back on them (still 20mg) a couple of weeks ago and all those symptoms came back. the doctor increased my dose last week to 30mg and within 1 day the dryness and itching was insane. It’s getting worse each day, I’m trying not to itch but I have to. It’s a constant cycle of the more I itch, the more dry and irritated it becomes, but there’s a lump that’s came out today as well. I’ve got eczema too but this itch and dryness is worse than I’ve ever had before. Any tips on what I can use to help without seeing the doctor for it? It’s so hard trying to find things that are safe to use for that area!
