Hi, please if someone can help me i am 50 yrs old. Very active during the day at work i am a manager its not like i sit the whole day behind a computer i am very active at my work. i was of for the day and i had the most excrushiating pain in my neck and shouklder it the went to my chest and left arm i went to the ER they twice did an ecg and all was normal did blood work that came back as normal except for my cholestrol was a 9. After giving me 5ml morfien the pain statered to slow down my blood pressure was high 194/116 but after the pain had subsided it came down to 107/84. the dr at the hospital said that i should go see my gp for a stress ecg and to control my cholestrol she gave me sinvastatin my queston is this heart related or should i watch my diet please help.

Hi, you do need to go your local doctors as they will need to keep an eye on your cholestrol levels as 9 is extremly high. But also ask your doctor to do more investagtions into the pain, it could be something as simple as torn muscle/ligaments but you must get it looked at. you should watch your diet and see if that helps with your pain. even tho i have not examined you or seen any of you results and after hearing 2 ecg scans came back clear i doubt its heart related.hope this helps
