Sadly, my ex isn't the father like I wanted him to be

2 months 3 days before 29th June = 26th April. The "plus or minus a week" puts the latest conception date as 26th April + 7 days = 3rd May. 15th May is another 12 days later! The information you have been given does not add up.

Not necessarily. Because the inconsistencies in the information you have been given, I suggest either a second opinion, or a DNA test.
Did you discover the gender?

I was thinking also why would the ultrasound tech tell me April did he know what he was doing ? but she's saying wait until I get another ultrasound... And no I gotta wait another 2 weeks :(

And what about the first 2 weeks of pregnancy not counting is that right

"would the ultrasound tech ... know what he was doing?" - I imagine so, but I think the estimated date of 5th Feb was out. I think that maybe 40 weeks were added to the estimated conception date instead of 38.

No. It's not "the first 2 weeks of pregnancy not counting", but rather that often 40 weeks are counted from the LMP start. This assumes a 28-day cycle where ovulation would take place after the first 2 weeks, and that is when fertilisation takes place. So it is 38 weeks from fertilisation (also often called conception). So using the LMP start date and adding 40 weeks, fertilisation would not have occurred during the first 2 weeks of those 40.

How do you know all this stuff I feel like I can understand more better now it's confusing when they explain it to me ! So you're saying that my ex is the father cause I believe in my heart he is I don't think the ultrasound tech would say April if it wasn't in April but my doctor is saying maybe another ultrasound would give me a better insight of it all because they can compare the 1st ultrasound to the 2nd she said "they need another ultrasound to compare it to" my next ultrasound is Spetember 12 and so just because my due date is in the first week of Feburary doesn't mean anything ?

I am not saying your ex definitely is the father, but that nearly all the information you have given me leads me to that conclusion. The only bit of information that is out-of-line is the due date of 5th February. The fact that you believe in your heart your ex is the father doesn't add to the evidence!

Your doctor is saying that the next ultrasound can be compared with an earlier ultrasound to give an indication of how much development has taken place between the two scan dates, as well as the total amount of development as at the last scan, thus giving a more accurate assessment of the due date (and therefore the date of fertilisation).

The due date of 5th February is a projection made by the technician, and that projection is not usually changed until there is evidence to do so.

Yeah I know, the fact that he said I conceived in April and said my due date was Feb in my head I was thinking "shouldn't I be due late Jan?" But I figured since it is the very first week of February it wasn't a big deal unless I was due Feb 20th or something like that and plus I thought it was just a estimate..

Are you a Ob/gyn ?

Conception at the end of April (30th) would lead to estimating a due date of 21st Jan (38 weeks later). Yes, it is just an estimate. It is based on various studies. Some have concluded that the usual (most common) gestation period is 38 weeks 2 days (268 days). There is a wide variation - some researchers claim a 5-week variability.
Whether you baby actually arrives on 23rd January or 5th February is largely beside the point. You are anxious to determine the most likely date of conception. You want to work backwards rather than forwards. Conception date can only be estimated by using certain data, and for that to be robust, consistent treatment of such data is important. It is because of the difficulty of ascertaining the timing of the different (Hormone-driven) stages of the menstrual cycle, particularly ovulation date, the LMP start date is usually used, and allows a typical (but by no means universal) 2-week menstrual/follicular (pre-ovulation) phase. So 40 weeks is calculated from LMP. However, this phase is the most variable. The luteal phase (ovulation to next menstrual period start) is generally the more consistent, being usually about 14 days.
