Hi there! I haven’t experienced anything similar in the early pregnancy but I heard that women may experience pain in the groins due to stretching of the round ligaments. These ligament keeps uterus fixed to the wall of the abdomen. They are being stretched during early pregnancy because the uterus’ growth and pressure it is putting on the muscles that surround it. The pain is stronger in the first pregnancy than in the next ones.
The same things happen later in pregnancy when the fetus starts growing and putting pressure on the bladder and pubic bones.
Try to relax and place warm pads on the area to relax the muscles. You could also take a warm shower or drink something warm.
If you feel that the pain you are experiencing is not due to ligament stretch, and you are experiencing additional symptoms, then you should see your gynecologist.

Hi, I am also pregnant through IVF (17 weeks with fraternal twins). The nurse at the unit told me before she new I was carrying 2 that a mild cramping is perfectly normal (as I have this) and it gets stronger the more you get into your pregnancy especially if this is your first baby as everything is stretching and expanding so I suppose it makes sense really. I didnt even have to mention the cramping as I was told I would get it! I was told to try and relax and enjoy the pregnancy, especially if you have had your first scan to verify the pregnancy. Love Mae x
