Virus won't go away after a month

How about allergies? A friend is mainly allergic to gluten but also allergic to pork (and maybe other things). She found someone that was able to effectively determine this. She went to a homeopathic practitioner when the medical community had no answers. That led her to the allergist that helped her.

I can deff relate to your problem i first had the flu like symptoms and then about a week later i caught a horrible horrible stomach virus i could not stop throwing up non stop for about 8-9 hours and then it was done but it took me 3 days to recover and now a week later i feel like complete c**p again i kno im sick again with some type of virus cause you cant even touch my skin thats how bad i am right now but for your stomach problem i do believe u caught that stomach virus that everyone an there mother has caught this year just keep drinking lots of fluids and stayyy away from binding foods

I really dont think its allergies cause there was classic signs of a virus. Rash,diahrrea,slight fever at times,night sweats,etc. I had a high dose of antibiotics about a month before this started. Its related somehow but my bloodwork was fine.

i live in England, we all get that over here as well. since the spraying in the skies have got heavier, everyone seems to be getting this virus which does not want to go. it can linger for months at a time, sore throat. completely blocked nose, ears ringing and thumping headache. stomach cramps. dont bother seeing your doctor as they dont know what it is, they will tell you its a virus of some sort. all you can do is buy a nutribullet and make yourself strong vitamin c smoothies, try different recipes.this will shorten the time you have this so called virus. keep your immune system as strong as you can, drink at least 1 smoothie a day.

Hi there. This virus everyone keeps talking about. It's horrendous. I honestly haven't felt anything like it. I'm on the 5/6th day of it now and it's getting worse. Chest infection but the worst I've had. I feel like it's affecting my stomach now. I'm really off balance and just feel shocking. Hoping other people can relate to reassure me because I've never felt like this before. Unsure if anxiety but I keep getting really overwhelming feelings like a tight neck then a sudden wave of tingles over my body. Really awful. Hope someone else can reassure me it will end soon. My stomach is churning round and round and round and feels so watery. I don't know how I'll cope if I'm sick too!

Yes, it is a very STRANGE virus that can bring on all kinds of strange symptoms that make you think there must be something really wrong with you, but chance are there isn't. I also had the off balance feelings, very strange pains in my intestines but I wasn't worried about that since I had a colonoscopy July 2015, but these viruses are getting stranger and stronger every year, and they seem like they last so much longer because they do! Make sure to rest, drink water and other liquids, take some good brand of vitamin C, look into other supplements that can boost your immune system and try not to worry although I also had anxiety about it, I think it has something to do with the connections of the nerves between the intestines/stomach and the brain, but it most likely is just this weird virus that seems to be going around, I hope you feel better soon!

I am experiencing the same thing and am located in San Diego. I went to Australia for three weeks from December 10th through January 3rd and the minute I got back I started the cough. I didn't feel sick for the first week and just had a "productive" cough. I chalked it up to the flights and dry air in the hotels. Second week I felt awful. Like I got hit by a bus. I had azithromycin ( Z pak) that I had been prescribed before my trip in case of illness overseas so I thought I would try to take that. It made me feel a little better but cough was HORRIBLE and just feeling really run down. Finally last weekend I thought I was on the mend. I was able to lay down without having a coughing attack and I was able to have some energy. But now I am experiencing stomach and digestive issues as well. It almost feels as though my body isn't digesting the food I am eating. The cough is still here and just as annoying. I am also feeling tired and just overall weak. I went back to the doctor and she gave me steroids to help the inflammation of my bronchial tubes, and a cough medicine to help. All I have been told is mucinex and plenty of rest. This is SUPER annoying and they say it is viral. I hope that we can all get rid of this thing! I miss working out. Good luck.

For the last week I have had an issue where my eyes are dry or almost burning, my sinuses, throat and lungs also are irritated at times, and I also was going to the bathroom more than usual but it was normal for the most part but also just didn't feel well, sometimes warm sometimes a minor chill but my temp was below normal! Where I work they had the stupid idea to build apartments above and below us, and the cooking smells and other stale smells makes me worse, and I was wondering if that was causing it but it has been this way with the smells for months now, so I doubt it would have taken until mid January to start giving me problems, I think it is either viral and allergies/weather since it is above normal temps and wet and the mold count must be absurd, or a combination of both things, but it is very, very strange and gets on your nerves and runs you down!!

lefay4614, What your doctor advised is exactly what channel 4 news mentioned Wednesday night, 02/01/17. They said antibiotics do not work for viral infections and that they only work for bacteria infections and the two viruses which are currently causing people such misery are both airborne viruses. I was trying to GOOGLE channel 4 news report for the name of the 2 viruses that they mentioned when I saw your post. Channel 4 news said one virus is of the nasal passage and stomach and the other is excessive coughing and in the lungs. I have the one in the chest/lungs with coughing. I already had annual flu shot and pneumonia shot but I still saw my doctor for check-up and she sent me for chest x-ray. All was clear, but this virus won't let me go either. Gone for a week after bothering me for 3 weeks then came back going on four more weeks. I too can function although feeling less than myself with only a low-grade fever. We shall overcome some day, I pray.
