My stomach seems to have gotten better. I took two different medications which helped. One was called Biofast and the other was called Lactoflora. I am still dealing with fatigue type issues, but my stomach is settled.

I've read this entire discussion and it really does help to know your not alone. I've dealt with some type of virus for 3 months now. Ive had blood tests and a stool test done also. No answers. Had an HIV test done twice that was negative. My symptoms were diarhea, slight fever, a few rashes on my body and feeling terrible all day long. My head felt as if it was swelling at first. Now my head just feels like its in a fog most of the time with zero attention span. Ive become antisocial cause I could be feeling ok one minute and then the horrible feeling comes over me outta nowhere. Its like when you think your getting over this it keeps coming back. Dry mouth and genital tightness are common when this feeling comes over me since the beginning. I lost about 20 pounds at first cause I just couldnt eat. Most of my weight has returned but its been a struggle. Im not a nervous person or get anxiety. This is something contagious cause my wife is dealing with it now also. Her symptoms are less severe then mine but going on a few months too.

Now my 3rd month into it im feeling a bit better but nowhere near like myself. Natural antiviral remedies seem to help. Ive been eating raw garlic for a couple of years now even before this happened. A clove or two a day. Also taking coconut oil, licorice and probiotics everyday. Eliminated all sugars from my life and this has definitely helped. When I thought I was really getting over it I ate some fried chicken and got very sick that night. I can only eat healthy meals now or it gets triggered I guess. Since that night its taken me 2 weeks to start feeling better again. I hope someone can relate to my story so we can help each other out. Also if anyone knows of any more natural remedies that might help please share.

Im from the UK. Myself and husband started ne3 months ago with muscle aches and pains, kinda like if you touch where it hurts you would expect to fin a bruise but nothing there. This was going on for a couple of weeks then seemed to ease. Then we seemed OK for a little while with the odd ache. Over a month ago we started with a cough (mine turned into chest infection) but along with this we have had tummy issues, really bad wind that was going into chest and felf like crushing. Along with chest infect and cough breathing was hard. Our coughs have eased but now we have fuzzy heads, no snot (sorry) but stuffy heads sinus headaches slight dizziness (my husband was given tablets for the dizziness) and this terrible wind will not go. We are so fed up with this. Its like we got the flu but had alot of the symptoms separately. I was so pleased to find this site and know its not just us. Hope everyone feels better soon, it really is getting us down now. If anyone has gotten over this, how long did it take?

I caught a 'cold' three weeks ago and it is just not getting better. Every day I feel unwell. This is nothing like a normal cold in its duration, and the fact that I feel just like you do on the first day every single day since then. I have a deep chesty hacking cough that doesn't shift or change too, dreadful brain fog, feeling feverish, weary and always want to sleep. Every day for 3 weeksI
have taken 3-4 cloves of organic garlic per day, have taken Echinacea tincture 3 times a day with a break of 5 days in between two 8 day sessions of it. I have drunk lots of fluids, herb teas, eaten the best healthy food, hot home made stews and soups, have rested, have gone for gentle walks....nothing I do is touching this or making me feel any better at all. There have been 2 or 3 days when I almost felt I was starting to get a little better but only hours later was back to square one again. What the heck is this??

Reading all of these posts is just unbelievable, I live in Pennsylvania and we have the same weird things going on! Some have the upper respiratory thing with sinus pressure and pain, some have the cough and some even have pneumonia! But others like myself have a combination of the sinus problems and the intestinal symptoms; a few weeks ago I had such a bad on and off "burning" sensation in the bowels, it would come and go in waves, felt like indigestion but way down low, then that went away (I thought) only to come back in a different intestinal form as the other night I burped and almost I guess you would say "almost threw up in my mouth a little", didn't think much about it but had very painful diarrhea a few nights later, feel somewhat better but like others are saying you feel tired a lot, can nap at the drop of a hat, sometimes minor chills, minor aches, just don't feel like myself, just very annoying and also plays "mind games" with my mood but also I know there is a link between diarrhea and mood, something to do with nerves and neurotransmitters so I can deal with that, but it is very annoying as sometimes you feel it is going away and sometimes you feel like it never will go away! These viruses and germs are getting stronger and worse, MUCH worse.....And I also am into vitamins and herbs, they help somewhat with this but not all the way. I hope you all feel better soon!

Hi.
Glandular fever is doing the rounds. It can last up to 3 months. There's nothing they can give you...simple case of paracetamol, water and sleep :(

I'm the one in UK who posted a few posts back about "having a cold for 3 weeks". Okay -make that 6 weeks. I have never ever known anything like this. I am a generally fit healthy person with NO health issues at all! Eat at least 6 fruit and veg portions per day, healthy diet, drink lots of water, get lots of outside exercise....etc.
This is like no other cold or flu I have ever had but I guess I'm one of the lucky ones, because I haven't got some GI symptoms etc.
Just feel like total grunge every single day. Like you feel the first day you're coming down with flu. Only every day for 6 weeks. Nose has stopped running. Cough isn't so bad at all. No joint pains, No sickness or diarrhea. No sore throat. No lymph glands up....just this ghastly feeling endlessly. Also get really really hungry yet when I start to eat have to force myself to finish my dinner.
