I read some articles on water temperature. Some people claim that you should swim in a water that is somewhere between 18-22 degrees Celsius warm. It seems pretty cold to me. I like much warmer temperature. Somewhere around 26 or 27 degrees Celsius. What do you think about the water temperature for swimming?

There is no universal rule about the swimming water temperature. Some sport experts claim that lower temperature will keep you alert and more active in the water. However some other dispute that and claim that warmer temperature is more favorable. The water should be cooler than your body temperature to enable cooling off and dissipating heat produced by your body while swimming. The rest is a matter of personal preference and taste.
