I've had enlarged papillae for over a year now, and its very irritating because I get white hairy tongue as well.
So I have bad breath, and I have to scrape also.
I do have a chipped filling that may be housing bacteria that I should get replaced.
I had pharyngitis from Mexico, and some new sex partners. But all HPV, HIV, STD test came out negative.
The ENT didn't address my concerns about the growths and instead biopsied a callus.
The doctor said its normal and that these growths occur spontaneously, that's BS if you ask me, because its spreading.
I have other health concerns as well. I also experience migratory joint pain, heartburn (have been diagnosed with GERD by ENT), some hemorrhoid symptoms.
My blood tests came out hypercalcemic and low vitamin D.
Is anyone else here taking vitamins, supplements when this first started?
I see someone recommended eating Garlic.
I want to have this issue resolved. Any information on initial onset and remission of the enlarged papillae, or other observations, is super welcomed.

Hi! Everyone
I just noticed them on my daughters toung and like you worried about it, but looked on the Internet and found out it normal, everyone has them, they just get inflamed if your sick with a virus, wich we have been sick for about two weeks. So I wouldn't worried to much unless they hurt, then go to your doctor right away. Hope this helped

Sore throat is caused by poor oral hygiene. Try making sure your giving your mouth a great hygiene. When you brush your teeth , don't forget to clean your tongue as well.

How much time taken to heal circumvallat papillae. I have red bumps on both side of my tongue. May be it's circumvallat papillae but more/wrost on right side from 2 month. Please suggest
