Hello! I can tell you that more exposed to melasma are women with darker skin tones. It is usually caused because of affect sunlight on the skin. But, it is caused because of taking contraceptive pills, too or drugs during menopause. Also, melasma affects pregnant women, too. Sometimes it caused because of hormonal disorder.
