I have had 2 weeks of bleeding (1 week of bleeding prior to my "regular" period, and then 1 week of my period) I went to the Dr. yesterday and hs is suggesting me have a Endometrial Ablation done. I thought wow, that sounds great, it will end my misery. Well that was before reading blogs from several people on how this procedure made matters WORSE than before, which now has me a little hesitant on wanting this done. Of course there is the use of Birth Control (which I hate because of the weight gain), he suggested a D & C (which is just a temporary solution) and of course the Endometrial Ablation. I have another Dr.'s appointment the first week in Sept. where we will do another annual appointment, do an ultrasound and do some blood work. I am just very nervous now with things I have seen. I know everyone has their own "war" story but I don't care to have one. I would love to hear from some people to see what they have to say about this. I also know after my next Dr. appointment I will be at a better stand point to see what exactly is going on with me. Again at this point I think I am trying to settle my nerves!! Thanks to anyone with input~

I would suggest a second or even a third opinion from different doctors who do not work together in the same office and who would be considered neutral from eachother. That would provide a fair and better wau of getting different assessments of the situation before you make the decision. It is your body and these kinds of things should never be taking lightly or decisions made in haste.
