I too have just been diagnosed with the uterine infection. I have been sick with this infection for almost 1 year. I have the discharge and an awful smell so I don't like to leave the house. I have been prescribed an antibiotic that I am suppose to take the first 3 days of my cycle. If this medicine dosen't work then in 2 months I have to have a hysterectomy. I am very scared and worried about having this procedure. I also thought that my husband had cheated, but I can not seem to understand how I got this infection in my uterus. I have taken antibiotics for almost 1 year and I still have this sickness. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I was 13 weeks pregnant and didn't catch my uterine infection until I was shaking with chills, vomiting, feverish, cramping, headache and aching all over. I thought I had the flu. I was misdiagnosed with a bladder infection. Not much is known about uterine infections as they are very rare. Doctors can't even tell you much about them because most haven't even seen them. I ended up losing my beautiful baby because of this infection. Treat it early and pray. It is serious, but there may be hope if caught early. Don't take a chance with your life or your babies.

i just want to tell you that it sounds like uterine fibroids which i have also. Old looking blood is a sign of them as they bleed and then the blood is already brown or clotted by the time it reaches your vagina. Also irregular periods and cramping are symptoms. They are very common and depending on the type, how many, and their size it could be just bothersome or much more. I have the kind that are pendunculated fibroids which means they are on a stalk that twists and can be very excruciating especially during that time of the month. Fibroids are tumors that are almost always benign (non-cancerous) and very common. Something like 80% of women have some form. Anyway the good news is that pregnancy hormones can shrink them, so now that i've had my first child i dont notice any complications. But again every type is different. There are some that cause complications with pregnancy and there are those that need to be surgically removed. I'm not your doctor so of course i don't know that this is what you have, it could be an infection, but i was just letting you know from experience what it sounds like. Oh and the depo shot can cause prolonged bleeding.

A friend of mine preseted close to what you described. After oodles and oodles of tests, a doctor figured out that her PHNEUMONIA had moved into her uterus. A round of antibiocs for PHNEUMONIA later, she was back in her dancing shoes. It was the weirdest thing! But, note to furture readers--- It is worth checking.

However unique and strange this may sound. A common solution for all uterine infections is as follows:

Dry roast FULL GREEN MOONG DAL ( Green Gram ) - This is in an Indian name for the pulse), until the color changes to a nice dark brown. Cool it. Grind in the mixer to a powder. Add sufficient quantity of powdered jaggery as per taste and mix it. Have one tea spoon of this mixture with water 2 - 3 times a day.  Ensure that mixture is kept in the fridge. Continue this for a month or two....But the effect should be seen after the first few days. This is a home remedy.

Have tried it and works wonders.
