Hi, my friend is 24 years old and she noticed white spots on her back several days ago. She tried several creams on it but it didn’t help. Finally she decided to visit her doctor and he told her that she is suffering from tinea versicolor and that she has to be very willful in treating this disorder. I would like to know something more about this disorder.

Hi, I am also suffering from tinea versicolor and I am under treatment with clotrimazole more than a month. This disorder is caused by fungus which is normally situated on the skin but under circum stances they may produce pale spots on someone’s skin. It is not contagious and it is caused by hormonal or immunity imbalance. You have to be very willful with therapy which your doctor prescribed to you and everything will be just fine.
