Interesting you say it's like a baby kicking. I have the same "softball" pain, but mine is on the left, and it developed after a bout of vomiting from food poisoning in 2014. I've had CT scans, ultrasounds and just about anything else and they all come back negative for anything. Food feels constantly stuck in my chest, and I had a doc tell me he thought it was costochondritis - from vomiting. I explained I felt a pop, and have been checked for hernias as well. Here we are in 2022 and no one has found anything.

I hope they find the issue and correct it so you can live a better life. I have gastritis. I actually have indigestion, stomach spasms after eating, gas, bloating, and even my heart beats faster (gastro-cardia) after I eat. It's so bad that I only eat chicken, rice, veggies and I cut out all dairy, sugar and most fats. I've lost 35 lbs in just 3 months. Hoping this is due to diet and not something more sinister. Tired of not being able to eat what I want....and tired of being scarred of the effects after I eat what is supposed to be good for me.

Heather, I am in the same boat. I have had x-rays, CT scans, ultrasounds and have all been normal. I'm beginning to hate the word 'normal'! I had a HIDA scan on 3/10/23, which looks like it could be normal. There has GOT to be something because I'm having the same pain. I want to get out in our yard to clean it up and plant some flowers, BUT this pain is preventing it. It is also keeping me up at night. I can't lay on my right side, back and stomach. I was able to lay on my left side, but that is painful now. Depression is setting in because no one can find anything wrong with me.
