Well since getting my cholesterol checked, I have trying to eat better. Now, I usaully have a bowl of oatmeal every morning at work. The first container of oatmeal my wife bought was the Quaker 1 minute oats. I went to the store and bought the 5 minute oats. Having seen the Good Eats episode on oatmeal I understand the how eact is made. But is one better for you than the other?
BTW- one minute oats are partially rehydrated after being rolled.

To the best of my understanding, whole rolled oats take longer to cook than quick oats only because quick oats have been cut up into smaller pieces. I'm pretty sure the nutritional value of each is about the same.
