I went to my family doctor because I was experiencing flank pain and blood in my urine kidney stones were suspected. I was sent to a urologist who ordered an abdominal/pelvic CT w/wo contrast. The results: Dilated Bile Ducts, Common Hepatic Duct, Common Bile Duct and "Possible Mass" in the head of the pancreas. I am scheduled for an MRCP this week and I had additional blood and urine tests. I do have gallstones which were seen on the scan and I've had Type II Diabetes for a few years and it is well controlled. I don't have jaundice, enlarged lymph nodes, dark urine, or weight loss.
I do have occasional fullness and diarrhea, but this has been going on for years I've had stomach ulcers years ago. I am really shaken by these results and I did ask the urologist should I be overly concerned and he said he I shouldn't panic personally, I am panicking and I think the doctor wanted me to remain calm until I have the MRCP scan. Should I be overly worried about these findings? I'd appreciate any input or advice.

Hi Jenn,
At this point I would be concerned.
You are doing what you need to do. Unfortunately it takes time to get all the results to find out what is happening here. Without all the results you can't really worry about what might be.
I know that the waiting hurts. Trust your doctors.
Keep us posted, good luck.
