Is it harmful to masturbate alot without ejaculating

I am an 18 year old male who masturbates 2 or 3 times every day, but I usually stop when I have the first drop of precum or just before I reach orgasm. I don't like to go all the way every time because it leaves me feeling drained when I ejaculate so frequently. I usually have an ejaculation every 3 days or so. I want to know if this is harmful. I heard somewhere that this practice is very hard on the prostate gland. Is that correct?

I actually heard that too much ejaculation could hurt the prostate gland and bring a change in body chemistry that leads to sexual exhaustion, tiredness, fatigue, premature ejaculation, so I would say you are safe with your non-ejaculating technique.

Don’t get me wrong, I can’t say with certainty that it isn’t harmful. However, it would be harmful if you didn’t ejaculation at all. What would you do with all that sexual tension?

Now, one thing I don’t get! I could never do what you do because I don’t feel pleasure in plain masturbation without ejaculation. Sounds sort of pointless and if you have problems with frequent ejaculation, why wouldn’t you just refrain from masturbation and do some creative stuff and then masturbate when you feel and think it’s time to ejaculate.

Do you actually feel pleasure in refraining from ejaculation?

Thanks for your input Mick. I am judging by you question "Why masturbate at all without ejaculating" that you must be an extremely goal-oriented person. You say that you don't feel any pleasure in masturbation except for when you ejaculate. All I can say to that is you must need to try some new or more creative techniques. In my view, the journey is just as important as the destination. If all you are focused on is how quickly you can make yourself cum then no wonder you refer to mastubation as 'plain'. I feel intense pleasure for the whole time that I am masturbating. Ejaculation feels great as well, but it also marks the end of pleasure.
I find that my technique makes the ejaculation that I do have every 3 days or so even more intense then if I had no activity at all during the days in between. I guess it's just something that's different for every individual.
