Hi Zenny,
When people get scared it is natural for your heart to beat faster. Everyone has some anxiety the issue is keeping it under control. I can't say for sure if you have an anxiety problem. You can get a tightening in the chest with asthma and anxiety can provoke it (make it worse) and then you get more anxious and so on.
Hope it helps.

thanks dan
btw , today , if i breathe in , the whole of my left side hurts , like for my chest up to about my throat ? Its kinda painful and it feels heavy. Also during these 7 weeks , i get a tingly feeling in my fingertip some days , like ive got pins and needles in my fingertips , and i know that is related to heart disease because my mates mum used to have that and she got diagnosed with heart disease. on my mum side there is not disease but on my dads side there has been diabetes in some people (uncles and grandparents) and they have died of heart attacks. So is it a possiblilty i have something like that ? Because im overweight and i have symptoms related to heart attack/disease like tingly fingers dizziness chest pains etc. I am fat ! :-( All these weeks ive been thinking that i might have a heart attack , because i checked my symptoms and it is related to heart attack . Also the tingly feeling feels in my finger tips and the whole of my hands sometimes ? Also i have been thinking if it is anxiety or asthma as the docotrs said its just asthma or something because my heart rate sounds fine (although can you still get a heart attack form a healthy sounding heart) thanks.

Zenny,
You say you weight 11 st, 10. That's 164 lbs. Depending upon how big of a frame you have it's not out of line.
Anxiety can cause tingling or pin/needles in the fingers too, more so when you get anxious and breathe fast. You "blow off" carbon dioxide, you alter your body chemistry, and these feelings result. You may have severe chest pains and you struggle to breathe. It's all a reaction to the anxiety.
Yes you can have heart problems with a normal sounding heart.
It is also VERY UNUSUAL for someone with no cardiac history to have a heart attack at 13. Usually it would be as a result of a congenital (born with) defect.
I really think you are experiencing symptoms related to your asthma. The anxiety is as a result of not knowing. You could have a respiratory infection as well, aggravating your symptoms.
Can you make an appointment to see your doctor again?

At the start of these chest pains like at week 1 , my shoulder was up , i had it lifted up , i cant describe it properly , but the arm and should felt heavy (left arm , and this was like the 2nd or 3rd day of week 1 of the pains , it went with the time) Thanks , Zain.

Your welcome Zain.
You need to use your inhaler when you get these discomforts. Follow the directions on it. If it continues then see your doctor.
Keep us posted. Dan

It could still be asthma related. Asthma is an obstruction to breathing. The air can't always flow in and out of your lungs as it should. Chest pain and tightness are symptoms too.
I'd focus on getting the asthma under control and that should reduce your other symptoms.
Hope it helps Zain.
