My 15 year old granddaughter was having pain in the abdomen after eating and then violent vomiting and diarhea. They first thought she had a bleeding ulcer because of blood in her stools and then that she may have gallbladder problems. An ultrasound did not show stones but then they did a test where they injected radioactive material into her and watched it go through her gallbladder. It was found that her gallbladder was not emptying properly. What would cause this. She is schedueled to meet with the surgeon the first of March. She was cautioned about eating dairy products. Why? She is normal weight, very fair and usually healthy. Can anyone help me understand this?
Thanks.
