I don't know if you'll respond to this, since this topic is almost a year old.
But i'm curious to know whether you found out what the problem was?
I am 19 and my gallbladder was removed a little over three months ago, and I have the same symptoms, except the pain in the right side. I have very loose stool, and I go to the bathroom maybe 5 times a day. If I eat something, twenty minutes later i'm in the bathroom.

I'm sure by now you found out that you might be suffering from
bile salt diarrhea due to the constant flow of bile into your digestive
system.

bowel problems after gall bladder removal. I had my gall bladder removed 14 years ago and everything was fine until a couple of years ago when l developed a bowel infection that made me ill for weeks and l lost a lot of weight, since recovering from it l am in constant pain with belly aches, nausea and diarrhoea. l am at a loss to know what to do as l have Gastritis and a Hiatus hernia too. There is very little l can eat. l take Codiene to stop the diarrhoea, then l get a little constipation but it is preferable to diarrhoea. Twice since l had the bowel infection l have felt really weak strange out of control and just wished to die ..but each time it only lasted a couple of minutes. My kindly Doctor sent me for a CT scan but nothing out of the ordinary showed up. I am in my 60's now ..l am not sure if my age has a bearing on my health deterioration. Any helpful thoughts will be most welcome.
