This is my first time here. I was wondering how angiern5612 did with her surgery in November. Hope all is well now.
Im in need of help with my right abdominal pain and have been trying to put my symptoms together to figure whats going on. I had back surgery in 2009 and have been bloated since then. Not sure if that is a coincidence but the swelling and pain has progressed since then and most stationary in my upper right abdomen area with pain and pressure and bloating under my right rib and breast as well as belching, occasional nausea and chronic constipation. I have a history of pinguecula (scarring) in both eyes due to severe dry eye, endometriosis, c-sections and total abdominal hysterectomy as well as microdisectomy and laminectomy, and Tarlov cyst, not to mention excessive hair loss , arthritis and TMJ disorder. I try not to take any pain medicine and I think this is why I have TMJ because I grit my teeth alot when Im in pain. Trying to stop this.
I finally went to my GP at the end of November, and he thought I looked bad, a little jaundice, so he ordered a CT with contrast. It showed a small blush of contrast enhancement in the peripheral subcapsular portion segment of the right lower of the liver, likely represents transient hepatic attenuation difference, I have no clue what that means other than hepatic means liver, and it also showed leftward curvature of my lumbar. He said everything was okay.
My GP then scheduled a HIDA scan which showed gallbladder ejection fraction of 84%. My GP said nothing is wrong and suggested I get a colonoscopy which Im due one anyway because of a past polyp. But he is basically done with me. He said he has done all he can. My BM's are odd, either constipated for 2-3 days or the opposite. My blood work shows normal hepatic panel and WBC's and RBC's are in range. I cant afford to jump through hoops with more testing but need relief and am a little stressed. Any ideas what this could be? Thanks
