Hello there, I am a single mother who is 26 years old. My kid is 2 years old and she has one problem. I am so worried about her because couple of days ago she told me that she is in pain because of her genitals. She should be sent for further evaluation but I know that she has warts. That is all I know. Can you tell me more before her examination?

Well she will have to be examined and I hope that it will all turn out fine. Genital warts can be generally seen in a family who has a history with HPV disease. HPV is human papillomavirus. If this is not the case there is a different matter at hand. Now don't be mad with me but I have to tell you that you might need to answer some questions. I am telling you this because warts may be a sign of sexual abuse.

I'd have her looked at, especially because if these other problems can be ruled out she might not be wiping correctly or she might have a parasite.
