Hello,
I’m male, 49 years old and after years and years of visiting various specialists for extreme swelling of my legs and ankles that they linked with damaged kidneys, my new urologist did a 24 urine test since he suspected that I might have kidney amyloidosis. And the test results came in and confirmed it. My urologist now wants to do more tests, and I will have to do further tests to see if any other organ is affected by amyloidosis. However, in all this stress I barely managed to understand what this condition is and no one really told me is there any treatment available and what can I expect to happen to my kidneys or any other organ that might be affected. If anyone has any experience with this condition, I'd be very thankful to hear your experience.
