Hello, I have an 8 y/o son and I believe he has had panic attacks. It started a while back when he got an inner ear infection. He was running a fever and would wake from a dead sleep screaming scared that the walls were closing in. My wife and I assumed it was the fever causing it. The "attacks" stopped after he got better. Well he would have a some nights he would have bad dreams. I had them when I was little allot so I never thought anything of it. He has been having problems sleeping but he is really hyperactive and always get bored so we talked to a Dr and they said to stimulate his brain more and more exercise. He is top of his class in 2nd grade. Makes all A's. OK fast forward to yesterday. He was laying around with me watching tv. He went to the bathroom and came out scared saying the walls were closing in on him. He acted the exact same way he does when he's running a fever only this time it was 4pm. He has never done this during the day. I have done some research but I would like to know if anyone else has had these problems. I don't want to run him to the Dr. just yet till I can understand a little more myself.
