I just gave birth to a healthy baby girl on September 20th 2006. She was one month early. I didn't tear, I wasn't cut, and as far as I know I didn't have any little cuts either. A week and a half later I was taking a shower, and noticed that there was a lump (about grape sized) inside my vagina (not very far in) with a smaller lump (about a baby pea sized) underneath it. I had a two week check up with my doctor for baby, and told her about it, but my milk supply (I was breastfeeding) was going away on it's own, so the doctor forgot about MY problem in talking about switching my daughter to formula. I've tried to make an appointment with her to look at these lumps, but she doesn't have any room to see me till our 6 week check up in another two weeks. Well, just now (today) I noticed that the bigger lump was no longer there, but the smaller one still was there. Then I noticed that I have a deep white discharge coming outta me now. Could it be puss? Is it because the bigger lump popped? What were the lumps to begin with? Could they of been cysts? Could I of had some sort of infection? I'm scared that there is something really wrong with me! Please help! :'(

hi, i can tell that you are quite worried about this, but from what you have said the two lumps sound like bartholian cysts. these are basically large painful swellings that come to a head and then burst, usually of their own accord. although uncomfortable they are relatively common and harmless. if you find that this becomes a recurring problem your doctor may be able to refer you to someone, however this is very unlikely to happen. if you are still having problems then of course go and see your doctor, hope this helps.
