I would like to share with you, that i have suffered similar pains for over seven years -
I was diagnosed with everything from gas to endometriosis...well many pains and many trips to the bathroom later,
one DR felt where the pain was coming from, by pressing two fingers down
on my abdomen-she felt a large lump and sent me to have an ultra sound, they had found a tumor the size of a lemon, so, though the pain was there all these years it did not grow visible to the ultra sound, cat scan, pelvic exsams/ until it reached a large enough size for machine to see and man to feel....so please keep an eye on your pain and don't let it go on......

I have had all those symptoms. I went for a lap and they found scare tissue going from my left ovary to my bowels. The pain went away for about 4 mths and now it is back and worse than ever. I am sick of tests. CT scans , MRIs, ultrasounds, blood work. I am about to tell my doctor to take it all. The pain is now radiating up into my left shoulder. She said it was not endo so I dont know. Just very frustrating. :'(

Tell your doctors they are looking in the wrong places obviously. My wife had these symptoms, all the same tests done.. Finally got a doctor that said she might have endometriosis... And when they went in to take a look, because there is no CAT, XRAY or test that can be done to find out... And she had the worse case the doctor had seen.

Hey, I had a lot of symptoms I've read on this for a few years and got all kinds of tests done before my doctor tested me for celiac disease, which ended up being the cause of pretty much all of my symptoms. Celiac disease can cause a wide range of stomach and/or back pain and is cured by a strict gluten-free diet. I got a blood test and an endoscopy to confirm my diagnosis, but i feel much better now! =)

I was having somewhat similar symptons, but it started happening since I had been eating out alot. I got pain which comes and goes, at times it is severe and persistent. Meanwhile, I used to burp alot and constipated. My doc. suggested the diet plan as 12 hrs clear liquids, 12 hrs thick liquids, and 12 hrs soft foods ..then after 36 hrs regular food. kinda helped me out. Haven't got the pains yet ...(after 4 days).

I have similar symptoms, but I am a man, so I know it's not my ovaries. My doctor doesn't know. I thought it might be a hernia, but he said it wasn't and had no other suggestions.

I do get those pains in the left side from time to time.
But I the last time I had severe pains in the left side,
lower left side near the hip, I went to the hospital
and did a urine sample. And I was pregnant.

Wow, I guess I am not going crazy after all. Thank you all so much for posting. I am 27 and have been experiencing these same symptons for almost a year. I have intense pain in my lower abdominal that travels to my lower left back and sometimes the pain is so strong I feel like my legs are going to buckle. I truly feel like this pain is coming from my ovaries. I now know exactly when I am ovulating b/c the pain is more intense and honestly, it just doesnt feel right. I have had several x-rays and two doctors have recommended physical therapy for the back pain and I just know this won't solve the issue. I have an appt with my gyno this week and I am really going to push the issue. I was thinking that maybe I had a cyst or something. Also, I recently got off birth control (6 months ago) and my gyno thinks this is my body going back to its normal self (this is a conversation we had over the phone) and I am thinking NO WAY! If this is my normal self then I would remember trust me.

Yours may be IBS or Irritable Bowel Syndrome. But get it checked out anyways just in case there is something more. IBS can be "semi" cured just by changing your diet.

endometriosis is what a lot of it sounds like. I have had it for years. It will cause infertility, and a lot of pain that worsens near ovulation. Painful intercourse is also a symptom. The only way to detect this is to have some or all of the symptoms and have laproscopic surgery. Talk to your gyno. That is where I finally got help.

I have been experiencing some similar symptoms above. This started at the end of dec....i went to the dr in jan and told me it was muscle pain. It went away for 2 weeks and then came back last week. The pain is located below the ribs along the left side near the hip. I have trouble breathing sometimes (i am asthmatic) and notice the pain going into my chest sometimes. Does anyone know what this could be?

i had similar pains and i was diagnosed with Middleshmirtz

i generally occurs at the time of ovulation (2 weeks after your period) and can last for a day or two

from what the specialist told me...it is nothing serious and it disappears if you're on birth control

hope this helps :-)
