Abdominal pain, with discharge.

I am a 21 year old female who is having some issues this past month with abdominal pain. I went to the urgent care because I was experiencing crampy pain in my lower right abdominal. I also had a brownish discharge that was coming out. This was AFTER my period, about two weeks after I had my menstration. This worried me. The doctors there, took a culture, xray, ultrasound, and a urinalisis and found nothing wrong. They didn't see any cysts, or anything bad in my blood work. They also did a culture of the discharge, and I was free of all std's. I was then very upset because I didn't know why I had that discharge, and why I had the pain.
I then went to a gyno, and he did a pelvic exam. It did not hurt when he pressed on my abdominals. He then told me that it COULD have been a cyst that bursted. I had to go by "Could have been", I still feel that I really don't know. I am current still getting the pain, its not as intense, but it comes and goes every so often. My lower back aches also. All this has happened for about a month now. I don't know what to think. I have to make another appt I suppose to ask more about this. I am scared, and I really hope it is treatable whatever it is. I have regular periods, and my discharge went away. I start my period on the 13th of every month. I know this sounds gross, but I do it to find out if anything bad comes out of the vagina; when I am in the bath tub sometimes I try to put water up there, and push some out to see if any discharge comes out. I did that today, and I discovered a white stretchy, stringy discharge with a little but of a brownish blood color connected to it. What does that mean? Is this harmful? What should I ask the doctor? I feel stupid to even go back. PLEASE, I am really stressed about this, and if anyone has experienced this, or knows what it could be, please write me back. I am having the same problem. I had a period that was two weeks long and I have been having this heavy discharge for 4 days. My back and abdominal pain are so intense to the point I have pain when I lie on either side. I went to the dr and I had the same experience you had. He said nothing was wrong. I am going to ask for an ultrasound when I go back next week. I was thinking that it may be fibroids.

i have the same issues as what Violetskies613 described except that i don't have back pains but i started having it after i had a heavy period (delayed for a month then when it came, it was unusually heavy). Violetskies613 if you have any info, please post so that i can check with my doctor. thanks!

I am experiencing the same things. I have a bloody like discharge and pains that feel like someone is stabbing me and turning the knife slowly in my lower stomach and back. I also went to my gyno and he knew nothing. He told me that he did not know and that it could be that I had passed a kidney stone. A week later I went back and he said that it wouldn't have hurt for that long.I made an appt. to get an ultrasound and everything wsa normal. My friend has the same pains and she told me to get checked for POLYCYSTIC OVARY DISEASE... It's where your body don't produce what it's supposed to pretty much. The only problem is that it's supposed to make you infertile, but we both had children. I looked up the symptoms and had a few of them. Irregular or no periods, weight gain, acne and excessive hair growth. And of course the same pains. I don't think its what the doctors are saying. I want a second opinion!

Hi ladies,

I am curious to see what your gyno's say. I had sex with condoms and nothing broke and just recently went back on my pill. My lovely doctor was late with my prescription of contraception for the last month and being cautious used condoms, so I waited till my period last week. I received what I thought was my period. It was lighter than normal and spotted instead. When I have my period I bleed alot so this was weird. After having sex my pelvis started to hurt and go away the day after. Now the pain is constant on the left side of my pelvis. I also have a tender, sore, and almost feels like swelling in the area. This week I have brown discharge that comes and goes as well. I am worried. I have had two pregnancy tests the week my period began and a week after which came back negative. I don't think I could be pregnant because of the precautions I have taken. I don't know if it is a hyneria. I have been lifting heavy objects the last few weeks because I am moving. However i don't have a large lump and it says it shouldn't cause you pain. It could be an ovarian cyst but how would I obtain that? I am soo confused. I will be making an appointment with my health care provider as soon as my move is done. Figure deal with one problem at a time. If anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated. I am 22 year old female and have had other sexual partners. Nothing in terms of diseases and never has sex hurt prior to this. When I do have sex it now more slow going and causes less pain. It is like it opens my hip. Sorry I have sooo many questions. Anything would be greatly appreciated

I had my period for a week and after it was over i started to have some abdominal pain..i went to the doctor and they said that it was some type of bacterial infection. they gave me some panadol and antibiotics. the pain went away. a few days later my period came down and lasted for an entire week. since then i have been having these brownish discharges and it smelled really bad. after a few weeks it stoped but i would still have this clear dishcarge like every other day and it would be alot. now a month later that same abdominal pain came back a week after my period has been over. and its unbearable. even when i sleep i can feel it :( ...im gonna go into the doctor tomorrow and hopefully they would have some answers for me.

you may have pelvic inflammation disease. Check with the doctor, if so. Antibiotics will help.

Same problem. Brown/bloody discharge all month. I'm 33, no birth control, regular cycle. Agonizing stabbing pain in lower left abomen and pain in back. CAT SCAN clean, blood normal, x-rays normal. Shrugs from doctors. This has been going on almost a year now. No hope or relief.

Well I kinda am experiencing the same thing. I just started my period two days ago and on the second day I started to get lower right abdominal pains and I don't know if I should go see a doctor cause its just feels really sore and uncomfortable. If any one knows why I have this soreness please tell!:)

I seriously have the same exact issue.. I'm 20 years old, never been sexually active. I have had surgery for an ovarian cyst about 5 years ago and was okay until about a year or so ago when I started getting these painful cramps in my abdomen.. I went to the docs, everything came back fine. Like wtf is going on?! I had the brown discharge as well and started to freak out! I don't understand and it is scary :( I hope you find your answers, girl! Good luck & please be persistent with your doctors! They might have their doctorates but sometimes they can be so ignorant and dumb as hell!

Hello everyone! I am also experiencing the same issue right now. Me and my bf had sex on July 2 but few days later, I was spotting a little brownish. On July 16 i have this sticky white vaginal discharge after I pee and it lasted until today July 20 but it happens only if I urinate at afternoon.. I am very worried b'coz sometimes i can feel a slight tingling sensation in my lower left abdomen.. I took pregnancy test 1 week after we had sex on july 2 but the result is negative.

I am having the same problems! I had my period late. As in instead of having it the 20th I had it the 30th. It seemed normal but about a week later I kept getting horrible side pains like i was being stabbed. It only came to me when doing my jogs and it came when I was almost finished then it started coming right as i would start jogging. It was the pain alone at first but now I have brown discharge. Pregnant is not an option because well its been quit a few months since I had sex. My boyfriend and I decided to stop and wait till we got married before we did it again but anyway. I wake up with pain right under the bottom of my right side of my rib cage and i been getting it lower now too some and this brown discharge mess for a few days and nights in counting. I get it all the time now instead of just working out. I read other posts on sites and many people had cicts in areas and that caused pain. Im going to see my doctor and hopefully i'll have better luck.
