i have severe abdominal pains after sexual intercourse which may last for days.is this normal or a sign of pregnancy
If you have abdominal pains immediately after intercourse, it's not related to whether you are pregnant or not. Rather, it could be one of a few things.
More than likely, it's simply that you are sore from intercourse- our insides, while being very strong, are also very delicate. I know that I've injured my cervix while having sex...and it hurts!
However, I would ask you if you have any other symptoms as well as pain. And if you do, I would suggest going to see a doctor. While the cause of pain after sex can be very innocent, it can also be related to a few other treatable ailments, none of which can be self-diagnosed, and require a doctor's opinion. A bladder infection could cause pain after intercourse. Or an ovarian cyst. Or pelvic inflammatory disease. Keep in mind: all of these things are easily alleviated with the help of a doctor. So don't worry, but consider visiting a doctor if the pain keeps up.
