Birth control is usually effective about a week after starting them so you should be covered. Did you start to bleed after having sex and your abortion 12 days prior or was everything OK down there? Hope this helps

Everything was fine, bleeding stopped after seven days but after we had sex there was little spotting of blood which stopped straight away
